Tim Tebow is a player I didn't like.  I am an OU graduate and a die-hard OU football fan.  Therefore you can imagine how I feel about OU losing to Florida in the National Title game a couple years back.  This being said, I have made some conclusions after analyzing Tebow the past few weeks.  Let me rephrase.  I have learned to base what I see on the Word of God!  The Truth has revealed an awesome story!

I am watching Tebow's amazing run and have discerned that he is not only a Christian, but he applies the word of God to his life, so actually he is taking on a different image.  This image is that of Jesus!  It also is the image that the world has referred to as WWJD, or "what would Jesus do?”  Romans 8:29 says; For whom He foreknew, He also predestined [to be] conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Tebow has answered every media question with Grace and humility.  It has become clear that the Word of God abounds in his heart.  When this takes place it is very "Strange" to the world.  In other words, the "world" wouldn't recognize the “Spirit” of God if it were right in front of it.  And it (the world) is putting up a fight.  I'll give you some examples:

1) Tebow answers every "pride" question by directing the Glory of his response to his teammates and coaches as the reason for his success.  "Hey Tim Great Job!"  Answer "My teammates make me look better than I really am and I trust their ability to make plays.  They deserve the credit, not me." 1 Peter 5:6-7 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

2) He refuses to call out an opponent or challenge their ability.  He simply tells the world that his opponents are great players, and continues to lift them up, even if he falls victim to defeat at the same opponents hands. Matthew 5:43-44 "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' "But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,

3) He trusts the outcomes as God's will even if it doesn't feel good or embarrasses him.  It is clear that Tebow had 3 weeks of ridicule after his awesome start to his career.  When ridicule comes to him the media received the same answers as before from Tebow.  The word of God tells us in Malachi 3:6  "For I [am] the LORD, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.

4) When asked about being an NFL quarterback and how great it is to be idolized, Tim answers that He loves football but his highest priority is the platform it has created to do God’s work!  Wow, imagine that day that a person was basking in his own glory of a professional sport and showing his true priority alignment being in God’s hands.  Matthew 6:33 "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

A pastor told me about a week ago that people use their faith to either “GET SOMETHING” or to “REVEAL SOMEONE”.  It has become clear that Tebow is here to follow God’s word and to reveal JESUS to people.

Romans 8:28 tell us “All things work together for good, for those who love the Lord and who are called according to HIS purpose.  The key to this scripture is “FOR GOOD”, not Tebow’s good.  It just so happens that we have the benefits of being Blessed by following God’s Word!  That is Tebow’s position as a person.

I began to wonder how the season was going to play out for Tebow as he boldly stands in the media spotlight revealing our Lord and Savior.  Then I received a revelation of something.  It’s already determined! Jesus said in John 19:30 “IT IS FINISHED!”

The destiny that Tebow is walking out parables Jesus march to the cross in the Bible. Jesus is in the garden of Gethsemane and said in Luke 22:42 "Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done."

The REVELATION that we all should get is the one that Tebow has.  He cannot be defeated with Jesus as His Lord and Savior in winning or losing the game.  JESUS will still be revealed.  Why would Tebow fear the “Giant” in New England?  I am certain that, that giant is no bigger than the one David faced in the Bible and especially not bigger than the enemy Jesus faced at the Cross.  In fact Jesus snatched complete “Victory” at the cross when He perished in His flesh.  The Victory came when He rose from the dead on the 3rd day.

I believe God was setting Tebow up for His recent “Victory” against the Steelers.  After 3 miserable trying weeks God rose Tebow to victory over the Steelers.  It was a miracle in the World’s eyes.  It was in fact nearly impossible!

The real fact remains that Tebow simply Trusts God at His word!  Therefore in winning or losing Tebow will react the same.  The media and the world is confused by this reaction and has no real way to describe His character.  If “Truth be known”, His coaches don’t even know how to set up a game plan for Him.  That is because he is doing the will of the Father.

The World and the Media are going to attempt to prove that Tebow failed and even start to get him to change who he is.  The enemy believed Jesus was defeated at the cross as well.  God revealed to the world HIS greatest victory upon Jesus death by the resurrection.  I believe that Tebow is in position to reveal Jesus more when they lose then when they win.  Watch and See!

I believe Christians have the choice to parallel the same trials and victories that are in the Bible.  It is proven by believers everyday.  The world needs to get the revelation of  “COMPLETE VICTORY IN JESUS!  Winning or Losing in the World’s perspective has NO relevancy compared to the TRUTH of God’s Word!

So you ask me if Tebow and the Broncos can beat the Patriots?  My answer is yes, but knowing the word of God, “HE” might have another plan in mind.  I simply believe that JESUS will be REVEALED more when Tebow loses than when he wins on the field!  The World needs a change and Jesus is the answer.  If everyone could get the same revelation as Tebow the world would be an incredible place to live.  That’s how God intended it.

So take a good long look at it world and media.  Your not really seeing Tim Tebow in his character, and this story has basically nothing to do with him.  Its spiritual!  I am certain that Tebow would agree if he read it!  You don’t even recognize what to call it.  They didn’t know what to call Jesus the Son of God when he came either.  In fact the world crucified HIM for doing good.  1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. The wolves of the world today are set up and ready to strike out against Tebow, lurking to destroy him or get him to make a mistake.

Another fact remains about this football season.  Even if the Patriots win the Super Bowl and the Broncos and Tebow perish as a team this week. One “GREAT” thing will remain from this season.  God did something special with Tebow and the Broncos. JESUS has been revealed.  In fact the super bowl winner will finish a distant second this year to what God has done! The champion will lay its crown at the feet of JESUS!
